So it has been 5 weeks again. Let me think about what I have done.
We went to Ithaca to visit Cornell, as part of the US top universities trip, and visited places in Ithaca. August visited the waterfall for the first time in her life. She was very much amazed by the water and fall.
I managed to lose about 4 pounds, thanks to reduced snack time, and other garbage food, like fried chicken nuggets, candy, cookies, etc..
The very best thing about losing weight is to let myself know that my life is under my control. The cravings can be handled, and the thoughts to have snacks when watching movies can also be controlled.
What if I really wanted to have some snacks when binge watching? Well, I have edamame, this is also something I really enjoy. Just edamame, and some sparkling water – no sunflower seeds, or peanuts, is enough!
Well, of course, I started running again, twice a week. Finished one 16KM, this is actually the most I have been running since October last year.
What a satisfying feeling when standing on the scale, and see my weight is dropping!

How easy is it to get 5+ dollars an hour? Just need to gain $40 in stock for the day.
Most of the time, I can control myself when day trading, but the eagerness to gain a lot more is eating me inside out. But to break down the task into smaller pieces will absolutely make things easier.
$40 a day is just $5 an hour, if I have 100 shares of AAPL, just need to gain 5 cents on the chart for the trade – yes 5 cents. No more greediness, and be determined.
It’s getting hotter and hotter these days, I did not use AC last year, and I am planning to do the same thing this time – although I think it will be harder this year, I’d still like to challenge myself.
I started picking up online courses again – mostly on the cooking for now, and one thing I can say about myself is I have improved my cooking skills a lot since Italy trip. The most important thing is to keep the ingredient fresh, and it will take care of the taste by itself.
For the coming phase, there are something I want to do –
- To spend more time with family – I need to cut down YouTube time, social app time, etc. I think I can do it.
- To focus on the job applications – Need to check on the job websites more often, and apply to at least 5 positions
- To reach 139.5 Lbs – Need to have a one-week pescatarian diet.
- To run a half marathon – Need to run one 18KM first, and increase to a half marathon.
Starting from this check point, I will not only focus on what happened in the past few weeks, but also to focus more on what to do next, and also on how to reach the goal.
